If you do not qualify for the public defender you can hire a private lawyer.  A private lawyer is an attorney that your parents pay for.  If you do not qualify for the public defender and your parents refuse to hire a private lawyer, the court can still appoint an attorney to represent you.   Your parents would then be required to pay back the court for the cost of the representation which is currently set at $400 per case.
