Human Resources (HR) is the division of the OSPD responsible for handling employee compensation and benefits. Under the leadership of Veronica Sandoval Graves, OSPD’s HR Department seeks to support our team in sustaining the important work of being a public defender. Her team is available to defenders to answer questions about their benefits, help them complete the paperwork for FMLA status or workers’ compensation needs, and help them navigate decisions about health and other insurance.
The HR team also handles or supports the offices in:
- Finding, recruiting, screening, and onboarding job applicants
- Managing employee personnel files
- Supporting payroll processes
- Addressing employee concerns
