303-764-1400 Applying for a Public Defender

Information Technology Specialists

OSPD’s IT team manages the networks, computers, technology, data, security, and communications systems for twenty-three offices and over 1000 defenders appearing in courthouses and jails across the 64 counties in the state. This is no small feat because as a matter of OSPD’s culture, defenders across the state communicate with and support each other in their practice while at the same time maintaining silos of information between individual offices as a matter of ethical screening practices. Our IT team is led by Chief Information Officer, Kyle Hughes.

Our IT team is both housed within the State Office and dispersed across the state with many positions allocated directly to a local regional office but recruited centrally. For some positions, flex and remote work may be available. Please review the job announcements carefully for information about location.

Applying for a Position

To apply for an opening, applicants will be asked to submit a cover letter, resume, and three professional references. Please see job postings for more information.
