The Colorado State Public Defender’s Appellate Division represents indigent defendants in the state appellate courts. Interviews and hiring are done as openings occur. Applications are accepted year round.

Qualified applicants must be licensed to practice law in Colorado. The Appellate Division seeks lawyers with very strong research and writing skills who are committed to providing quality representation to public defender clients. The entry-level salary is $5,355 per month upon licensure.
